Doctoral degrees are conferred by our partner universities upon completion of an independent body of research culminating in a written thesis and the successful defense thereof. Doctoral students must follow the rules and regulations and fulfill all of the degree requirements of the university department in which they are enrolled. Students may enroll in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bonn for a PhD of Neuroscience; the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Bonn for a Dr. rer. nat. degree; or in the Integrative Biology Program in the College of Science of Florida Atlantic University for a PhD degree.
Upon acceptance to the IMPRS, students and their PI must decide which academic degree the student will pursue. The degree requirements for the partner universities can be found at the following links:
